Tucked away on a serene hilltop with sprawling gardens, the hotel has clean, modern rooms featuring essentials like flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. While my arrival was slightly confusing-there was no reception staff at the designated hour-communication was sufficient, with keys left conveniently in an envelope. The hotel prioritizes quietude and proximity to nature, with walking paths easily accessible from the grounds, ideal for eco-conscious travelers like myself. Breakfast started early, and while the variety was commendable, a pet fee of €18 per night felt steep. Nonetheless, the spacious room, complete with a functional layout and amenities such as free toiletries, made for a comfortable stay. With free parking and quick access to Linz's amenities within a 10-15 minute drive, Sankt Magdalena proves to be a prudent choice for travelers seeking both luxury and value.
