Review of Sankt Magdalena HotelI recently had the pleasure of staying at Sankt Magdalena, which presents a compelling case for value amidst the luxuries it offers. Tucked away on a serene hilltop with sprawling gardens, the hotel has clean, modern rooms featuring essentials like flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. While my arrival was slightly confusing—there was no reception staff at the designated hour—communication was sufficient, with keys left conveniently in an envelope. The hotel prioritizes quietude and proximity to nature, with walking paths easily accessible from the grounds, ideal for eco-conscious travelers like myself. Breakfast started early, and while the variety was commendable, a pet fee of €18 per night felt steep. Nonetheless, the spacious room, complete with a functional layout and amenities such as free toiletries, made for a comfortable stay. With free parking and quick access to Linz’s amenities within a 10-15 minute drive, Sankt Magdalena proves to be a prudent choice for travelers seeking both luxury and value.
